Conflict is a healthy part of relationships, teams and community. How do we make it an opportunity?
This experiential nine-hour course builds on participants' existing wisdom to introduce language, concepts and skills of healthy conflict resolution and restorative practices. The course provides a foundation for facilitating with Advoz's programs in mediation and restorative practices. Using the interactive capabilities of Zoom video-conferencing, expect to be actively engaged in learning activities and to practice restorative practices applicable to your work and life and to prepare you for Advoz's intermediate courses. CLEs are available for PA-registered attorneys including 2 ethics credits for working with diversity and trauma of clients and colleagues.
CEUs are also available for Social Workers, Marriage & Family Therapists and Professional Counselors through the Millersville School of Social Work.
Note, to qualify for the Volunteer Rate we ask that you: 1) have an interest, passion and basic skills for listening and working with people, 2) be available 3+ hours average/month over the next 1-2 years, 3) apply to become a facilitator/mediator at this link, and 4) live or have recently lived within commute-able distance of Advoz (South Central/Southeastern PA). If further away, then you could still be eligible but primarily only as a co-facilitator for online cases.
