This highly-sought interactive training equips you to learn and apply the Facilitative Mediation Model with a co-mediator in a range of disputes including neighbors, workplaces, families. landlord-tenants, and more. Using high-impact experiential and simulation learning methods, Advoz trainers guide you and your cohort to understand conflict dynamics, what situations work or don't work for mediation, and how to successfully facilitate conflicted parties through the process. After an introduction of the major frameworks and skills, trainees will practice effective conflict resolution skills using the Facilitative Mediation Model along with legal and ethical considerations for using the process in Pennsylvania with the schedule:
- Day 1: Intro to Mediation: Conflict, Communication & Culture - Mon, Oct. 19: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (in person) prerequisite*

- The Legal, Mediation and Restorative Paradigms

- Day 2: Basic Mediation - Tue, Oct. 20: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (in person)

* The eight-hour course, Intro to Mediation: Conflict, Communication & Culture (CCC), is required for the 40-hour Basic Mediation Training certification. If you have taken Advoz's CCC course in the past five years, you may begin on Day 2.
** Training fee includes facilitated instruction by Advoz's experienced trainer-facilitator team, manuals and worksheets (100+ pages), plus lunch, coffee and other refreshments/snacks.
CLEs are available for attorneys, which include a total of 32 substantive and 4 ethics credits (7 CLE hours with 2 ethics hours for Day 1 Intro to Mediation: Conflict, Communication & Culture). CEUs are available for social workers, professional counselors, and marriage and family therapists. Please make the appropriate additional selection below.
